Hi Miranda, your floral budget will depend on your guest count, the number of centerpieces you want, the number of personal items (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.), what you’re envisioning for the ceremony flowers, and anything special at the reception, like chandeliers, a sweetheart table, something for the escort card display, etc. My clients regularly spend $15K-$25K on flowers but it also depends on what your total budget is and if it’s worth it to you to spend that much given the other items you still need to pay for. Centerpieces, depending on the size, can go anywhere from $125-$350 in price. Bouquets can go from $145 all the way to $400. You will also want to consider what makes this vendor special. Is it her design style, the types of flowers she uses, etc. There’s a wide range of quality in florists. Some, which I think are more basic, can make an arrangement, but there’s nothing special about them. I could get something similar at the grocery store for less. They use very generic flowers and they’re fine but they don’t wow you. Others really make an art of it. They arrange the flowers a certain way and they use beautiful blooms that are more unique colors, that are a variety of flowers instead of your standard roses, etc. There’s a lot that goes into it. You also have to consider how many weddings they’re taking on, what their customer experience is like leading up to the day, etc. Hope that helps!
