I don’t have anything against a traditional shower celebrating the bride to be, but I don’t know that event style is right for me. My fiance’s family is spanish, and the tradition seems important to them. Interested to hear some ideas of more contemporary ways to celebrate. My gut feeling is that I want it to be a celebration of both of us – but my fiance does not seem to care one way or the other. I’ve seen some cute “jack & jill” showers with slogans like “bubbles and brew before we say I do”.
