Invite kids to do things. Older kids can manage the guest book. Younger kids can hand out your giveaways. Have their parents manage them, though. If you have children in your wedding party, remember two things: Never have young children walk in just before the bride. Have them walk in before the primary attendant. Kids are unpredictable. I have had kids run away, when they saw all the people.  If they are just before the bride, there is a kerfluffle and no one even remembers the bride walking down the aisle. Second, I know several couples who had a childcare person, games etc, so that children could have things to do during the reception.  Rev Denise Tracy Wedding Officiant
